I am so excited to be moving into a gorgeous new home with my family! Built brand new from the ground up, I know that this is going to be one of my favorite family homes. It is full of modern finishes and features but maintains a very fresh take on the "rustic farmhouse" look. I am super impressed with how it's coming along and am so grateful that my parents have given me free reign over my new bedroom space! I have also helped pick out plenty of other design features, but I'll save that preview for another day! And yes, at 23, I do still with my 'rents and there's nothing wrong with it! Mine make great roommates and it has been so fun getting so involved with this new home of ours. It makes me feel so assured in myself that interior decorating and design is where my passion is! My brain has been totally focused on finding inspiration for my new space and I am starting to see it come together so perfectly with each passing day more fixtures and other bits and pieces get installed! Let's start off by taking a look at what has inspired me when it comes to designing my bathroom area. I want this space to feel modern but also like a space where I can truly relax in and have fun getting ready in the morning! I have been super inspired by neutral finishes and mid century fixtures. So far my mood boards for this room have featured mixed metals and pops of really rich and lush color set against a very neutral and calming backdrop. I love the contrast and am excited to see the final product next month! Check out some of the photos I keep referencing back to and let me know what you think in the comments below!
