It's my favorite time of the year! Time for gift giving, festive decorating, hot chocolates every day, snowy adventures! Seriously. I love this season! Whatever Holiday you choose to celebrate with friends and family, gift shopping is never an easy task! There have been plenty of times already this year that I've had to just straight up ask people "What do you want for Christmas??" Yes, it's kind of lame and ruins the surprise element but it still leads to that same moment of watching someone open a gift from you and beaming with excitement! I thought I would go above and beyond this year and not do one gift guide, but multiple! For every type of person in your life that you want to surprise with a little somethin' somethin', there will be a guide chock full of ideas! There have been a ton of cool gadgets and inventions introduced to the home decor world this year so I wanted to start off with a gift guide for that tech lover in your life! Whether it's a gadget that will make your life easier or just a really freakin' cool invention that will elevate a space to the next level, I have listed my top ten ideas below. Some of which you may even want to gift to yourself this year! 1. Samsung Frame TV 2. HP Sprocket 3. Crosley Velvet Bluetooth Record Player 4. UE Wireless Speaker 5. Marble Pattern Clock 6. Ling's Moment Neon Sign 7. Cacti Coasters 8. Smart LED Light Bulb 9. Iphone Disco Light 10. Mini Waffle Maker I have been ranting and raving about this Samsung Frame TV to literally anyone within earshot. I am obsessed with the idea of this! A smart TV that can bland into my everyday home decor? Yes please! I think Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this invention. I love the look of it, the interchangeable "frames", the quality of it, just everything! It is definitely an investment gift and not something you would casually give an acquaintance but it is definitely my top tech gift for 2017. Check out the videos on it on Samsung's website! Moving through the rest of the list, I included an HP Sprocket which I happen to own myself. I love the convenience of it and how cute the prints are! One of my favorite Youtubers, Zoella, recently did a few DIY projects with her prints where she used them as decorations for her tree and also used them in a cute garland! I love that idea and you can definitely use those same ideas year round! Anything music related is so good for gifts. Visually pleasing record players, speakers, or even headphones are such good ideas! My friend has a UE speaker that we use literally every weekend and I love it, the size is perfect and it blends in perfectly into any space! The sound is also A+ in my book! A record player would be another investment pieces but come on, they are just such cool looking pieces! Of course Urban Outfitters has the trendiest selection but you could probably find some cool options at a vintage or thrift store too. Anything that has to do with lighting I'm also really into for gift giving. A mini disco ball that plugs into your phone, an LED bulb you can change the color of through your phone, and of course, some wicked cool neon have topped any other options on my list! You can even get DIY "neon" kits now! Lighting can totally change the mood of any space so why not have some fun with it? Perfect for any upcoming New Year parties as well! I could not not include the mini waffle maker I saw at Urban, I mean, it's too adorable not too! Also, I am aware that coasters don't seem like a very "tech-y" gift but they are a great little "gadget" nonetheless! And how cute is this cacti version? I would love to get one for myself, I definitely would not be sad about having a cute and handy option for guests to use! I hope you enjoyed my first gift guide of the season! I am thinking of keeping these guides as "live" posts that I will go back and update with more cool gift ideas I come across. What do y'all think of that? Let me know in the comments below! Happy shopping!
