If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I have been on the hunt for the perfect desk for months on end. I had searched high and low, near and far, and in almost every place imaginable but I kept coming up short! Two days ago I just so happened to be combing through Craigslist hoping to find something, anything, at that point and I came across a total score! At Target this desk retails for $150 but guess what I snagged it for? Just guess! Did you guess $50? Cause you would be correct! Fifty dollars for this bad boy! I'm still beaming! I am so happy with the quality of this piece. I was weary about picking anything up from a major retailer in fear that it wouldn't be that sturdy, it wouldn't be high quality, and it wouldn't have the same feel as something with a little age from say your local vintage thrift store. But this desk blew all my fears away the minute I saw it in person! It has the perfect amount of space on top for everything I need and enough storage to keep me organized but prevent me from hoarding too many things away! I'm still working on creating an absolute dream of an "office" space for myself but finding this desk was a great confidence boost! I really enjoyed putting this space together and can't wait to finish it up and really settle in. So the takeaway lesson for today is never ever buy brand new if you can help it (thrift it or get it off the clearance rack!) I am such a big fan of getting deals and saving money (aren't we all?) Of course I'll run into some must have pieces from Homegoods or Target but if I can help it I like shopping for big pieces from thrift stores or places like Craigslist cause you can find such unique pieces you may have never thought of getting before!
